Festival TAQ 2026 launches in Valmalenco, Italy

The second edition of the Festival TAQ – Teatro ad Alta Quota will take place from 6 to 9 August 2026 in the Valmalenco valley. The four‑day programme includes theatre performances, concerts, workshops and free public events across the five municipalities of Caspoggio, Torre di Santa Maria, Spriana, Lanzada and Chiesa in Valmalenco. Organized in partnership with Amata Compagnie and directed by Tibor Bricalli, the festival aims to unite local communities, associations, volunteers, families and artists through shared cultural experiences.

The inaugural 2025 edition featured 34 international artists, five theatre companies and three musical bands, attracting more than 1,800 spectators. Organisers plan to continue the free‑admission model, allowing audiences to make voluntary contributions to support artists and future editions. The 2026 programme was shaped by audience feedback collected during the first festival, reinforcing the goal of co‑creating the event with residents of the valley.
