Festival Xönthe 2026 opens in Colón, Querétaro

The Festival Xönthe 2026, also known as the Vendimia del Valle de Colón, has commenced in Plaza Soriano, Colón. The event celebrates the regional identity, viticulture traditions, and gastronomic wealth of the Valle de Colón.

Inaugurated by Municipal President Gaspar Trueba Moncada, the festival features local wine producers, artisanal cheese makers, and bakers specializing in stone-oven bread. The celebration aims to strengthen enogastronomic tourism and provide economic opportunities for local families and producers in the Querétaro region.

State officials, including Secretary of Culture Ana Paola López Birlain, recognized the collaborative effort between producers and authorities to position the area as a cultural and tourism destination. The festival highlights the region's growing leadership in sparkling wine production and its ability to combine tradition with economic development.
