FesTVal 2026 television awards RTVE Horizonte Spanish television

The XVIII edition of the FesTVal Television Festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz concluded with several major awards for Spanish television professionals and programs.

RTVE received multiple honors, including an award for its 70th anniversary and recognition for the series ‘Valle Salvaje’ and Jesús Cintora. Journalist Pepa Bueno was presented with the Joan Ramón Mainat 2026 award, cited for her three-decade career in radio, print, and television.

Additionally, Iker Jiménez and Carmen Porter were recognized for their work on the program ‘Horizonte’. The award highlights the show's recent audience success on Cuatro, which led Mediaset España to transition the format into a daily program. Jiménez used his acceptance speech to acknowledge the people of Ceuta.
