Feštetić Castle enters new phase after reconstruction

Feštetić Castle in Pribislavec has entered the equipment and content arrangement phase following its reconstruction and repurposing. The historic building is being transformed into an interpretive center designed to showcase the history, gastronomy, economy, and natural heritage of Međimurje through interactive exhibits.

Construction work is complete, and Međimurje County Prefect Matija Posavec recently inspected the finished spaces. The project aims to preserve the site's historical value while providing modern educational and cultural functions. The ground floor will focus on Međimurje's culinary history and host cooking workshops. The first floor will highlight the Feštetić family's influence on regional agriculture and economy, featuring a multifunctional hall for up to 200 people.

For younger visitors, the eastern wing includes two themed rooms: one dedicated to the family's former fishpond in Mačkovac and another to the Count's menagerie. These rooms will use puzzles and interactive content to teach children about biodiversity, nature protection, and local history.
