Fetran 2026 theater festival held in Cuiabá
The 21st edition of the Festival de Teatro para o Trânsito (Fetran 2026) is currently underway at the Cine Teatro de Cuiabá. The event features 20 finalist plays selected through six regional stages, including competitions in Guaporé, Araguaia, Teles Pires, Aricá-Mirim, Várzea Grande, and Cuiabá.
Organized by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) in partnership with Detran-MT, the State Secretariat of Education, and various municipalities, the festival uses performing arts to promote traffic safety awareness. The plays, categorized into Children, Youth, and Adolescent levels, utilize drama, humor, and circus arts to address critical topics such as seatbelt use, speeding risks, and road empathy.
The competition concludes on Friday, September 4, with an awards ceremony to announce the winners.
