Feuerwehr Utting celebrates 150th anniversary

The Utting Volunteer Fire Department celebrated its 150th anniversary with a two-day event at Ammersee. The festivities began on July 13, 2024, with a commemorative church service followed by an evening gathering for members and guests to honor the department's history.

On July 14, the department hosted a public 'Blaulicht-Tag' (Blue Light Day), offering community members a behind-the-scenes look at firefighting operations. The event included vehicle displays, fire extinguisher training, and demonstrations. Activities for families featured a fire truck bouncy castle, a children's Olympics, and rides in actual fire engines. Other program highlights included gymnastics by TSV Utting, emergency response demonstrations, and resuscitation training provided by the Wasserwacht.
