Feyenoord Academy sets goals for new season and Youth League

Feyenoord Head of Academy Zeb Jacobs has outlined the ambitions and developmental philosophy for the club’s youth teams as they begin a new season. Following a successful year that produced seven first-team debutants and four championships, Jacobs emphasized that success is measured by more than just trophies. The academy focuses on player development within a specific football vision, training intensity, and player availability.

Looking ahead, the club has set specific goals for its youth squads, particularly regarding the Youth League. The Under-21 team aims to win their league to secure promotion, while the Under-19 team seeks to progress through the Youth League group stages. Jacobs noted that international exposure in the Youth League is a critical stepping stone for talents transitioning to the first team. The Under-19 squad will be led by head coach Jimmy Lucassen.
