Feyenoord analyst praises Ferri but warns of goalkeeper Ernst
Analyst Hans Kraay junior has shared his assessment of Feyenoord following their match against AZ. While expressing overall satisfaction with the team's performance, particularly the midfield, he raised specific concerns regarding goalkeeper Tjark Ernst.
Kraay noted that while Ernst has managed to keep clean sheets, his tendency to play balls toward Charles Vanhoutte near the edge of the penalty area while under pressure is a cause for concern. He stated, “I am starting to get quite nervous that he plays Vanhoutte to his own edge of the sixteen about six times per match, while he has three gasping opponents at his neck. That makes no sense at all and it is going to go wrong one time.”
In contrast, Kraay praised Nacho Ferri, noting the Spaniard's speed and ability to operate in tight spaces. He referred to him affectionately as ‘Ferri Good,’ noting that his qualities had been recognized previously by Jan Boskamp during Ferri's time at Westerlo.
