PSV Eindhoven vs Feyenoord: Eredivisie leaders clash in top fixture

League leaders Feyenoord travel to the Philips Stadion to face third-placed PSV Eindhoven in a crucial Eredivisie matchup. Feyenoord currently holds a four-point advantage over PSV in the standings. The match carries significant implications for the title race and potential qualification for the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup, where high coefficient rankings play a role in selection.

Feyenoord enters the game with several key updates. Midfielder Jakub Moder is set to return to the squad following a long-term knee injury. Additionally, manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has resolved an internal dispute between players Sem Steijn and Anis Hadj Moussa. The team has shown strong away form this season, winning their first five matches outside of De Kuip.

PSV Eindhoven approaches the fixture following a Champions League victory against FC Porto. However, they will be without suspended midfielder Sven Mijnans. Manager Peter Bosz also noted uncertainty regarding the availability of other players due to injury and fitness concerns. Historically, PSV has held an advantage in recent home meetings against Feyenoord, winning the last three official encounters at the Philips Stadion.
