Feyenoord faces declining financial projections for 2025-2026 season
Feyenoord is facing a more challenging financial outcome for the 2025-2026 season than previously anticipated. While the club initially expected a modest surplus, recent projections suggest that the operational result may be impacted by the failure to reach the Champions League group stage.
To address financial necessity, the club's new management implemented a restructuring strategy during the recent transfer window. This involved reducing the wage bill and shrinking the squad through 18 outgoing transfers, including contract dissolutions and loss-making transfers. Although positive results from player sales were expected to offset operational losses, the overall financial surplus appears to be diminishing.
