Feyenoord launches new season preparations under coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst
Feyenoord will begin its pre‑season training on Monday 29 June at De Kuip, marking the start of preparations for the upcoming Eredivisie campaign. The club has appointed former Dutch international Giovanni van Bronckhorst as head coach, replacing Robin van Persie, with assistant Sipke Hulshoff joining the technical staff.
Following a shareholders' meeting, Feyenoord secured full ownership of its stadium, De Kuip, opening possibilities for future modernization. The schedule includes a series of friendly matches: FC Dordrecht (4 July), Club Brugge (11 July), Sporting Charleroi (17 July), Rayo Vallecano (26 July) and Atalanta (2 August). New signing midfielder Charles Vanhoutte has joined, while loan returns Luka Ivanušec and Jeyland Mitchell bolster the squad. The club will also hold a training camp in Belgium before opening the league season on 9 August with an away game against Sparta Rotterdam.
