Feyenoord rejects €42.5m Al Ittihad offer for Anis Hadj Moussa

Feyenoord general manager Robert Eenhoorn has revealed that the Dutch club blocked a potential €42.5 million transfer of Algerian winger Anis Hadj Moussa to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad due to concerns over the payment structure.

According to Eenhoorn, Al Ittihad’s initial proposal included an upfront installment of only 10 percent of the total fee. Feyenoord requested a bank guarantee to secure the remaining balance, but the Saudi club failed to provide one. This lack of financial assurance led management to question the seriousness of the offer.

By retaining Hadj Moussa, Feyenoord kept a key attacking player despite missing out on a potential club-record fee. Eenhoorn also noted that the club decided to keep young defender Givairo Read following interest from clubs such as AS Roma and Nottingham Forest, citing his need for further development and playing time.
