Feyenoord confirmed that Robin van Persie's contract will not be renewed following a turbulent season that still saw the club finish second in the league. Sporting director Dévy Rigaux has opened the search for a successor.

Among the names linked to the role are former Club Brugge colleague Alfred Schreuder, whose connection to Rigaux was highlighted, and his brother Dick Schreuder, currently under contract with NEC. Belgian coach Wouter Vrancken, who led Sint‑Truiden to a historic Europa League qualification, is also reported as a serious candidate. Former Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, now linked with AC Milan, has been mentioned as another potential appointment.

The club is evaluating these options as it prepares for the upcoming season, aiming to replace Van Persie and stabilise the coaching position.
