Feyenoord sees two player exits as Ramiz Zerrouki returns to FC Twente and Calvin Stengs departs

Midfielder Ramiz Zerrouki has ended his three‑year stint with Feyenoord and returned to his former club FC Twente, concluding a transfer saga that began in the summer of 2023 when Feyenoord paid €7.2 million for the Algerian international. After a mixed spell at Rotterdam, Zerrouki reclaimed a regular role at Twente, effectively closing a chapter that never yielded the expected success for either side.

Separately, winger Calvin Stengs terminated his contract with Feyenoord by mutual agreement, becoming a free agent immediately. The 27‑year‑old, who joined the club in summer 2023 after winning the Belgian double with Royal Antwerp, made 59 official appearances, scoring nine goals and providing 21 assists before injuries limited his impact. The club announced his departure ahead of a training camp in Brussels and thanked him for his contributions, including a KNVB Cup and Johan Cruijff Shield win.
