Feyza Hepçilingirler honored at Ayvalık event

The Ayvalık Municipality organized a special event titled ‘Ustamıza Saygı’ (Respect to Our Master) to honor Feyza Hepçilingirler, a prominent writer, linguist, and educator originally from Ayvalık.

During the ceremony, attendees discussed Hepçilingirler’s contributions to Turkish literature and her ongoing efforts to promote the correct and beautiful use of the Turkish language. Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin spoke at the event, emphasizing the deep connection between the author and her hometown. He noted that her commitment to sharing her knowledge and experience with society is particularly valuable and expressed the municipality's intent to continue connecting local cultural figures with younger generations.
