Feyzullah Aktürk wins başpehlivan at Manisa's Yuntdağı Oil Wrestling

Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyesi hosted the Yuntdağı Yağlı Güreşleri from June 5‑7 2026 at the Ortaköy Güreş Alanı in Yunusemre. The tournament, a key stop in the CW Enerji Türkiye Yağlı Güreş Ligi, attracted 1,262 wrestlers from across Turkey.

In the final, Akhisarlı Feyzullah Aktürk defeated Yusuf Can Zeybek to claim the başpehlivan title. Mayor Besim Dutlulu presented the championship belt, and Aktürk expressed his ambition to compete for the Kırkpınar crown. The event featured extensive protocol attendance, festival‑style food stalls, and a large crowd of spectators.

The competition highlighted the endurance of traditional oil wrestling and underscored Manisa’s role in preserving the cultural sport.
