Feyzullah Aktürk wins heavyweight title at Zengibar Karakucak Wrestling

Feyzullah Aktürk was crowned the head wrestler at the 73rd Zengibar Karakucak Wrestling and Culture Festival held in the Darende district of Malatya. Aktürk secured the title after defeating Ruşen Arda Güler in the heavyweight final.

The festival, which coincided with the August 30 Victory Day celebrations, featured 415 athletes competing across 20 different categories. Other top performers in the heavyweight division included second-place finisher Ruşen Arda Güler, with Yunus Emre Yıldız and Ali Börkoğlu taking third place.

Malatya Governor Seddar Yavuz attended the event, emphasizing the importance of preserving such long-standing traditions. Darende Mayor Alican Bozkurt noted that the festival serves to celebrate local culture and unity, describing wrestling as a symbol of courage, patience, morality, discipline, and integrity.
