FF Jaro criticizes FC Inter over Herman Sjögrell transfer
FF Jaro has criticized FC Inter for what it describes as ‘unprofessional’ conduct following the sudden transfer of star winger Herman Sjögrell. The 25-year-old Swedish attacker moved to the Veikkausliiga side after FC Inter activated a release clause in his contract, reportedly valued at under 50,000 euros.
FF Jaro expressed shock at the timing of the announcement, stating they were only notified of the move on the evening after the international transfer window had closed and just hours before the domestic window shut. The club noted that while they were aware of the release clause, they expected more respect and dialogue from FC Inter regarding the process.
Sjögrell, who joined FF Jaro in January with a contract lasting until the end of 2026, had attracted interest from both domestic and international clubs due to his strong performances. FF Jaro stated they had attempted to keep the player until the end of the season but were unable to react in time due to the transfer window constraints.
