FGCU soccer secures conference victories

Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) men’s soccer earned its first Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) win with a 3-0 victory over Lipscomb. Aron Martinez scored via a penalty kick, marking his seventh goal of the season. The win ended a nearly month-long scoring drought for the Eagles.

In women’s soccer, FGCU defeated Jacksonville University 3-2. Despite a 90-minute lightning delay, FGCU maintained control throughout the match. Jacksonville’s goals were provided by Ragna Magnúsdóttir and Millie Urquhart, but the Eagles secured the win with a late goal in the 78th minute.
