FGR denies mass incineration claims at Jalisco training camp
The Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) has denied claims of mass incineration of people at Rancho Izaguirre in the municipality of Teuchitlán, Jalisco. The denial follows a video featuring a purported criminal group member claiming such activities occurred at the site.
Previously, authorities identified the property as a recruitment and training center for the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG). The FGR reported that forensic processing of the site is 92 percent complete. This follows reports from September 2024 regarding CJNG operations in the area and the discovery of numerous items and clothing by searcher groups.
To date, the Specialized Prosecutor for Human Rights has prosecuted 15 individuals potentially linked to the training camp. Ongoing investigations involve victim testimony and the judicial analysis of mobile devices and telephony data.
