FGR denies mass incineration claims at Rancho Izaguirre

The Mexican Attorney General's Office (FGR) has rejected claims made by an alleged member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) regarding the mass incineration of bodies at Rancho Izaguirre in Teuchitlán, Jalisco.

The individual, in an interview with the Italian news outlet TG1, claimed that over 500 people were murdered at the ranch and that he personally incinerated 250 victims. The FGR dismissed these statements as false, noting that forensic processing of the site is 92 percent complete and that 15 individuals potentially linked to the location have been brought to trial.

Local search collectives, such as Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco, continue to call for thorough investigations. They point to physical evidence found at the site, including bone fragments, clothing, and footwear, which they believe warrant further exploration of a suspected large mass grave. The FGR stated that investigations include the analysis of mobile devices and victim testimonies.
