FGV awards 21.7 million euro electricity contract to Endesa

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has awarded a contract worth 21,757,096.63 euros to Endesa Energía S.A.U. for the electricity supply of its rail networks.

The contract will cover the energy needs for traction, maintenance facilities, office buildings, and stations for both Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant. This includes the operation of six metro lines and four tram lines in Valencia, covering 161 kilometers and 147 stops, as well as several lines in Alicante covering 111 kilometers and 71 stops.

The agreement is set for a one-year duration, spanning from August 20, 2026, to August 19, 2027. The procurement is linked to the Generalitat's central purchasing framework.
