Fhenix and Canopy Bring Homomorphic Encryption to On‑Chain Developer Stack
Fhenix and Canopy have formed a technical partnership to embed confidential computation directly into the Canopy Stack, enabling developers to build privacy‑preserving on‑chain applications without hiring specialist cryptographers. The collaboration introduces a new Canopy Confidential App template powered by Fhenix’s CoFHE coprocessor, which provides fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) for encrypted data processing.
Developers can add encrypted computation through a familiar TypeScript library, keeping user data encrypted from input in the Canopy wallet through off‑chain processing and back into the blockchain via a trust‑minimized verification step. The solution works on existing public networks such as Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base, allowing open‑network deployment while maintaining data confidentiality.
By integrating the privacy layer into the existing infrastructure, the partnership removes the need for a separate cryptography stack, simplifying the development of sovereign on‑chain apps that handle commercially sensitive, personal, or strategic data.
