Fi Europe announces 2026 Innovation Award finalists

Fi Europe has released the shortlist for its 2026 Innovation Awards, which recognizes advancements in food ingredients, manufacturing, nutrition, and sustainability. The finalists were selected from 133 global submissions by a panel of industry experts.

A new category, the Alternative Protein Innovation Award, has been introduced this year to highlight developments in plant, fungi, algae, microbe, and insect-based proteins. Shortlisted companies in this category include Bunge, dsm-firmenich, and Lallemand Bio-Ingredients.

Other categories include Food Manufacturing Innovation, Future Foodtech Innovation, Health Innovation, Plant-based Innovation, and Sustainability. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Messe Frankfurt on November 17.
