Fi launches Starlink-enabled dog tracker for remote areas

Fi has introduced the Ultra, a remote-explorer GPS tracker designed for dogs in areas with limited cellular coverage. The device utilizes LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and T-Satellite service via Starlink to provide location tracking in remote environments.

While the tracker offers enhanced connectivity for hikers and rural property owners, its effectiveness depends on terrain, sky visibility, and network conditions. Users still require a data connection through the Fi app to view location updates. For new customers, the initial cost is approximately $408, which includes the $199 hardware fee, a $20 activation fee, and a $189 one-year membership.
