FIA President celebrates a decade of Formula 1 in Baku

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix to celebrate a decade of Formula 1 racing in the country. Ben Sulayem praised the Baku City Circuit for its unique atmosphere, noting that the track successfully blends historical heritage with modern architecture, presenting distinct challenges for drivers while engaging spectators.

During the discussions, Ben Sulayem highlighted that Formula 1 serves as a significant driver for business, tourism, and entertainment. He commended Azerbaijan’s long-term commitment and vision, stating that the country has established itself as an important destination on the international sporting calendar.
