Fiano Romano water shortage caused by broken reservoir pump

Residents in the Pratalata area of Fiano Romano have faced a water shortage lasting over 24 hours, affecting several streets including via Sant’Isidoro, via Belvedere, and Valle Conca. The interruption, which began on Saturday, September 5, has left hundreds of families without access to essential services such as toilets and showers.

The municipality of Fiano Romano attributed the outage to a broken pump at the Sassete reservoir. Local authorities stated they are working with Acea to replace the pump and refill the well. While water is expected to return gradually to most affected areas by Monday afternoon, via Sant’Isidoro may experience further delays due to its reliance on booster pumps.

This incident is part of a recurring seasonal issue, with residents reporting similar water blackouts during the summer months. Local citizens have expressed frustration over the lack of consistent service and the impact on vulnerable individuals, including children and people with disabilities.
