Fiastra construction sites: Two owners reported for safety violations

Carabinieri officers have reported two construction company owners to judicial authorities following safety inspections at post-earthquake reconstruction sites in Fiastra.

The inspections, conducted by the Camerino Carabinieri Company in collaboration with the Macerata Labor Inspectorate, identified several violations. These included a failure to provide mandatory health and safety training to workers and deficiencies in the Safety Operational Plans (POS), which are essential for preventing accidents on construction sites.

The two business owners involved are a 57-year-old resident of Tolentino and a 53-year-old resident of the Frosinone province. As a result of the findings, fines totaling 13,100 euros and an administrative sanction of 300 euros were issued. These enforcement actions are part of ongoing surveillance by the Macerata Provincial Command to ensure compliance with safety standards during the reconstruction efforts following the 2016 seismic events.
