Fiat celebrates 50 years in Brazil with exhibition and limited‑edition Toro and Fastback models
Fiat is marking its 50th anniversary in Brazil with a two‑part celebration. On 7 July the Casa Fiat de Cultura in Belo Horizonte opened the free‑entry exhibition “Celebrar as ruas: 50 anos de Fiat e brasilidade”, which will run until 11 October. The show combines more than 250 pieces of art, fashion, historic vehicles and multimedia installations to illustrate the brand’s influence on Brazilian culture and industry, featuring works by Tarsila do Amaral, Candido Portinari, and iconic models such as the Fiat 147, Palio Weekend and a Fiat Uno once owned by Adriane Galisteu.
At the same time Fiat launched a limited “50 Anos” edition of its Toro pickup and Fastback SUV. Only 550 units of each model will be produced, numbered and equipped with semi‑hybrid powertrains, exclusive paint, darkened trim, special interior stitching and a suite of driver‑assist technologies. Sales of the special editions began on 9 July.
