Fiat Domini Boy Choir to host concert blending hymns and Korean music

The Fiat Domini Boy Choir will hold its 11th regular concert on the 11th at 4:00 PM at the Gwangju Catholic Archdiocese Cathedral. Celebrating the choir's 12th anniversary, the performance aims to prepare for the 2027 World Youth Day (WYD) to be held in Seoul.

The concert features a unique fusion of Eastern and Western musical traditions. The Fiat Orchestra will perform alongside traditional Korean instruments, including the haegeum, gayageum, ajaeng, and modeum-buk. The program is structured in five parts, themed around the official prayer of the 2027 WYD, with the motto ‘Take courage, I have conquered the world’.

Founded in October 2014, the choir currently consists of 30 members ranging from elementary school students to second-year middle school students. The group is led by conductor Baek Jeong-bin, accompanist Park Ji-su, and music coach Cheon Gi-yeon.
