Fiat Fastback reaches 200,000 units produced at Brazil's Betim plant
Fiat marked the production of its Fastback SUV coupé at the Betim plant in Minas Gerais, Brazil, with the 200,000th vehicle rolling off the line. Launched in September 2022, the model was developed for the South‑American market and has become a key element of Fiat’s growth strategy in the region. The Fastback is offered with a 1.0‑litre turbo engine, a 12‑volt mild‑hybrid version of the same unit (not available in Argentina), and a 1.3‑litre turbo that also powers the Abarth‑tuned variant. Director Frederico Battaglia highlighted the model’s impact, noting its “impactful design, high technology and excellent performance across all three powertrains.” Looking ahead, Fiat is preparing a global successor, slated for a European debut as the Grizzly Fastback in 2027 and a regional launch in 2028.
