Fiat Grande Panda faces mixed reviews as electric model flagged for charging flaws and gasoline version gets €3,000 discount

A five‑month test by AutoWeek found that the Fiat Grande Panda electric city car offers appealing styling and urban handling but suffers from serious charging problems. The vehicle can be plugged in via a front‑integrated socket or a rear side outlet, yet charging always remains single‑phase. Sessions often stopped prematurely, and unlocking the doors during charging could interrupt the process. Software issues also cause the onboard computer to display a constant 296 km WLTP range without adjusting for temperature or driving style, only updating while the car is in motion. The fast‑charge capability is limited to 36 kW, and real‑world range measured between 195‑205 km in winter and 255‑265 km in summer falls short of the WLTP figure.

Meanwhile, Fiat is promoting the gasoline‑powered Grande Panda 1.2 L Turbo with a discount of up to €2,950. Buyers who scrap an Euro 4 vehicle and finance through Stellantis Financial Services can see the price drop from €17,900 to €14,950, with a monthly payment of €129 over 35 months. The financing arrangement includes a 5.99 % fixed TAN, a 9.06 % TAEG, and a final balloon payment exceeding €10,000, as well as a mileage cap of 30,000 km for three years.
