Fiat launches $13,995 Topolino electric microcar in U.S. market

Stellantis‑owned Fiat has introduced the Topolino, a compact electric vehicle, to the United States at a base price of $13,995 (about Rp 253 million). The model is equipped with a 5.4 kWh lithium‑ion battery that offers a range of up to 74 km (46 mi) on a single charge and a top speed limited to 31 km/h (19 mph). An optional Low‑Speed Vehicle (LSV) conversion kit, expected in late summer 2026, can raise the maximum speed to 40 km/h (25 mph) and adds mirrors, a rear‑view camera and pedestrian‑alert systems at no extra cost.

The Topolino measures 99 inches long, 55 inches wide and 61 inches tall, weighing 1,073 lb (487 kg). It is offered in a standard version and an open‑top “Dolcevita” variant, with a minimalist interior featuring a digital instrument cluster, storage compartments and a mobile‑device holder. Fiat’s CEO Olivier Francois described the vehicle as a new, expressive way to experience urban mobility.

The launch targets city drivers seeking an affordable, low‑speed electric vehicle, positioning the Topolino as a niche alternative to larger electric cars in the U.S. market.
