Fiat launches electric Topolino quadricycle in the US with limited road legality

Stellantis introduced the Fiat Topolino electric quadricycle in the United States on 7 July 2026, pricing it at $13,995 before destination fees. The two‑seat vehicle is powered by a 5.4 kWh battery, offers a 46‑mile range, and reaches a maximum speed of 19 mph, which currently restricts it to private properties, resort communities and low‑speed zones. Stellantis plans to sell Low‑Speed Vehicle (LSV) conversion kits by late summer 2026 that will raise the top speed to 20‑25 mph, allowing limited use on public roads with speed limits of 35 mph or less. Two body styles are offered at launch: the standard Topolino and the Topolino Dolcevita.

In Italy, Fiat previewed a larger electric quadricycle named Multiplina, projected to cost between €10,000 and €12,000. The model will accommodate four passengers, deliver up to 100 km of range, and reach about 88 km/h. Classified as an L7 heavy quadricycle, it is positioned between the Topolino and Fiat’s traditional city cars, with a possible autumn debut. CEO Olivier Francois said, “Topolino represents a new chapter for the brand in the U.S., offering a fresh, stylish alternative that reimagines urban and neighbourhood mobility.”
