Fiat launches Grande Panda hybrid SUV in Japan

Stellantis Japan has announced the upcoming release of the Fiat Grande Panda hybrid, a compact SUV scheduled to go on sale in Japan on November 7. The vehicle is positioned as a modern reinterpretation of the original Panda’s functional beauty, incorporating contemporary design and sustainability.

The Grande Panda features a distinctive boxy exterior with pixel-style headlights and a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It produces a system maximum output of 110PS and offers a WLTC fuel consumption rate of 20.8 km/L. The interior emphasizes eco-friendly materials, including bamboo fiber and recycled components, with design elements inspired by the Lingotto factory in Turin.

In Japan, the model will be available in two grades: the Icon, starting at 3.69 million yen, and the La Prima, starting at 4.09 million yen.
