Fiat marks 50-year Brazil milestone with film shot in Belo Horizonte

Fiat is producing a commemorative film to celebrate its 50th anniversary in Brazil. The production used 39 vehicles—including historic models such as the Fiat 147, 600, Uno, Palio and modern models like the Fastback 50 Anos hybrid—along with a cast of 350 and a technical crew of about 220. Filming took place over two days (June 13‑14) at 15 locations across Minas Gerais, primarily in the centre of Belo Horizonte, with temporary road closures coordinated by BHTrans, the municipal guard and the police.

The film, scheduled for release in July 2026, will chronicle five decades of Fiat’s presence in the region, linking the brand’s early production at the Betim plant (opened 9 July 1976) to its current operations. The Betim factory now produces over 18 million vehicles, employs roughly 17 000 direct workers, supports more than 300 suppliers, and has exported over 4 million cars to 37 countries.

The campaign also features a limited‑edition Fastback 50 Anos, positioned as a bridge between Fiat’s historic models and its future electrified lineup. The extensive shoot underscores Fiat’s economic and cultural impact on Minas Gerais and Brazil’s automotive sector.
