Fiat marks 50 years in Brazil and launches Grande Panda in Europe
Fiat is celebrating 50 years of operations in Brazil by highlighting nine vehicle categories that shaped the local market. Key historical models include the 147 Furgão, which introduced small vans based on passenger cars, and the 147 Pickup. Other significant contributions include the Uno Mille, the turbocharged Uno Turbo, and the Palio Adventure, which helped popularize recreational and off-road styled vehicles.
In Europe, the brand is seeing success with the new Fiat Grande Panda. Built on the STLA Smart platform, the model is designed for scalability, allowing for electric, hybrid, or internal combustion engine configurations. The vehicle has seen strong sales, with over 46,700 units registered in Europe between January and July, 73 percent of which utilized the 1.2 petrol engine.
