Fiat prepares new hybrid Panda production in Italy

Fiat is preparing to launch a new generation of the Panda, which is expected to feature hybrid engines rather than being fully electric. The vehicle is slated for production in Italy, likely at the Stellantis plant in Pomigliano D’Arco, as the company seeks to offer an accessible city car to compete with international rivals.

Gaetano Thorel, head of Fiat and Abarth for Europe, noted the brand's recovery and the importance of localized production. He expressed high expectations for upcoming models, including the 500 Hybrid, as Stellantis aims to maintain a central role in the European market.

In terms of current market availability, September 2026 promotions for the Fiat Panda include discounts for scrapping Euro 5 vehicles and financing through Stellantis Financial Services. These incentives can reduce the purchase price to under 10,000 euros, subject to specific financing conditions and total cost calculations.
