Vatican receives 30 electric Fiat vehicles for sustainable mobility

Fiat, part of the Stellantis Group, handed over a fleet of 30 fully electric vehicles—including the compact Topolino, the TRIS van and the Multiplina model—to the Governatorate of the Vatican City State. The first 20 cars were delivered in a ceremony attended by Archbishop Emilio Nappa, lawyer Giuseppe Puglisi‑Alibrandi, and Fiat executive Olivier François.

The vehicles are meant to support the Vatican’s "Ecological Conversion 2030" programme, which aims to cut CO₂ emissions from its police and administrative fleet and achieve a zero‑emission fleet by the end of the decade. The delivery also aligns with Fiat’s broader micromobility strategy to promote compact, low‑impact electric transport in urban settings.
