Fiat Toro 2027 introduces mild hybrid technology

Fiat has updated the Toro lineup for the 2027 model year, introducing 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) technology to the Volcano and Ultra versions. These hybrid models utilize a 1.3 turbo engine producing 176 cv, designed to reduce urban fuel consumption by up to 10% while improving driving comfort and noise reduction.

The 2027 range includes several configurations: the Endurance and Freedom versions use the Turbo 270 Flex engine, while the Volcano and Ultra feature the MHEV system. Diesel options remain available through the Volcano and Ranch versions, with the Ranch model featuring a 2.0 turbodiesel engine producing 200 cv, nine-speed automatic transmission, and 4x4 traction.

In the Brazilian market, the Fiat Toro maintains a strong position, recording 31,700 units sold between January and July, significantly outpacing competitors such as the Ram Rampage, Chevrolet Montana, and Ford Maverick. Other notable competitors in the segment include the Ford Maverick Black, which offers a 2.0 turbo engine with 253 cv, and the Ram Rampage.
