Fibank partners with Bitpanda to integrate crypto into banking app

Fibank (First Investment Bank) has announced a partnership with Bitpanda to integrate cryptocurrency investment options into its My Fibank mobile application. Utilizing the Bitpanda Enterprise infrastructure, the service is scheduled to launch in early 2027.

This move makes Fibank the first bank in Bulgaria to offer integrated access to digital assets within a standard banking environment. According to Fibank CEO Nikola Bakalov, the partnership is a step toward evolving the bank into a digital platform that meets changing customer needs for diverse financial solutions. Nadeem Ladki, Global Head of Bitpanda Enterprise, noted that the collaboration aims to provide over one million customers with access to crypto through a trusted banking interface.
