Magenta Telekom and Alpen Glasfaser are investing approximately 30 million euros to expand fiber optic infrastructure in Villach, Austria. The project aims to provide 15,000 new connections, covering roughly half of the city's households. Construction is scheduled to progress through various districts, with Warmbad and Untere Fellach expected to be completed by 2026, while the Inner City is slated for completion by the end of 2027.

In Germany, GlasfaserPlus has announced plans to expand fiber optic connections in the Unterwellenborn municipal area starting in the second half of 2027. This phase aims to benefit approximately 2,500 households across the districts of Unterwellenborn, Oberwellenborn, Könitz, and Kamsdorf.
