FiberCop and University of Naples Federico II partner on network innovation
FiberCop and the University of Naples Federico II have launched a strategic partnership focused on research and training for telecommunications network innovation. The collaboration, which involves the Center for Advanced Metrological and Technological Services (CeSMA), aims to develop intelligent, efficient, and sustainable communication solutions.
The research will explore advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, Digital Twin models, Edge Cloud, and quantum technologies. These efforts are intended to support the evolution of digital infrastructures toward more automated models capable of managing complex scenarios, including the integration of fiber optic networks, 5G, and future 6G mobile networks.
Massimo Sarmi, President and CEO of FiberCop, stated that the partnership combines scientific and industrial expertise to explore technologies central to future networks. The initiative also includes training programs designed to develop advanced professional skills necessary to lead digital transformation and support the technological development of Italy.
