FiberCop appoints Marco Nespolo as new CEO

FiberCop has appointed Marco Nespolo as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 12, 2026. The decision was made by the company's Board of Directors during a meeting chaired by Massimo Sarmi.

Massimo Sarmi, who has served as President since November 2020 and also held the CEO role since January 2025, will remain as President to ensure governance continuity. The Board credited Sarmi's leadership with the successful separation of FiberCop, the full completion of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) processes, and the transformation of copper infrastructure into a modern open-access network.

Nespolo joins FiberCop from Fedrigoni, where he has served as CEO since November 2018, leading strategic and international growth. His previous experience includes serving as CEO of Cerved Group and roles at Bain & Company and Bain Capital Private Equity in London. He began his career as a financial analyst at Citibank.
