FiberCop expands Italian network with mobile units and fiber rollout
FiberCop is expanding its telecommunications infrastructure through both technological deployment and network reinforcement. The company has introduced a fleet of 14 high-mobility special vehicles designed to act as mobile technological hubs. These 4x4 vehicles are equipped with shelters containing fixed and mobile network apparatus, fiber optic connections, and radio links, allowing for rapid intervention to support connectivity during large events or when standard infrastructure is unavailable.
In addition to mobile support, FiberCop is advancing its fiber optic rollout in Trebisacce, Cosenza. This project, part of the ‘Piano Italia 1 Giga’ under the PNRR, focuses on FTTH (Fiber to the Home) technology to provide high-speed, reliable connections to homes and businesses. While some works were completed under national plans, FiberCop is continuing the expansion through its own autonomous funding to ensure progressive ultra-fast connectivity across the municipality.
