FiberCop launches fiber optic expansion in Roncade
The municipality of Roncade and FiberCop have signed a memorandum of understanding to implement a high-speed FTTH (Fiber to the Home) optical fiber network for local residents and businesses. The initiative, titled ‘Fatti della stessa fibra’, is entirely funded by FiberCop.
The project involves laying over 22 kilometers of fiber optic cable throughout the municipal territory. Work has already commenced in the Biancade district. To facilitate the rollout, FiberCop technicians will install optical wall sockets inside properties free of charge upon appointment, after which users can contact their preferred service provider to activate internet services.
Mayor Marco Donadel noted that Roncade was among the first municipalities in the Treviso province selected for this project, highlighting its importance for local digitalization and competitiveness. A public meeting to discuss the initiative is scheduled for September 30, 2026, at the municipal council hall.
