Fibonacci Retracement Analysis in Crypto and Stock Markets

Fibonacci retracement is a technical analysis tool used to measure the percentage of a previous price swing that has been retraced. In cryptocurrency markets, traders utilize specific levels—including 23.6%, 38.2%, 61.8%, and 78.6%—to identify zones where price reactions are more likely to occur. While the 50% level is frequently watched by traders, it is not technically part of the Fibonacci sequence.

In equity markets, such as with TTM Technologies (NASDAQ:TTMI), Fibonacci levels are often used in conjunction with other tools like rising regression channels. Analysts monitor how price action interacts with these levels, such as the 0.618 Fibonacci line, to determine if a price movement constitutes a temporary pullback or a larger trend reversal.
