FICCO Arrests Criminals in Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Rondônia
The Integrated Force Against Organized Crime (FICCO) and the Maranhão Military Police captured a fugitive convicted of latrocínio in Timon, Maranhão on 27 July. The man, sentenced to 20 years for a 2005 robbery homicide in Abel Figueiredo, Pará, was taken after an intelligence‑driven operation.
On 28 July, FICCO in Rio Grande do Norte launched Operation Gravata, executing five preventive arrest warrants and eight search warrants across Natal, Parnamirim, Macaíba and Nísia Floresta. Authorities seized drugs, cash and an armored vehicle and uncovered that the criminal group continued to issue orders from prison through two lawyers, prompting visitation bans for the attorneys.
The same day in Rondônia, FICCO arrested a man in Porto Velho for drug trafficking. Police seized about 27 kg of substances resembling cocaine, crack and marijuana, 192 ecstasy tablets, packaging materials, a precision scale and cash, after finding the property used as a drug depot.
