Fidel Castro biography presented in Brussels

The book ‘Fidel Castro. Más allá del mito’ (Fidel Castro. Beyond the Myth) was presented at the Cuban Embassy in Belgium as part of the activities commemorating the centenary of Fidel Castro's birth.

Written by Marc Vandepitte and Katrien Demuynck, the work aims to provide a historical and objective perspective on the life and legacy of the Cuban leader, seeking to move beyond simplified or demonized portrayals. The book features a prologue by Ignacio Ramonet and includes contributions from various intellectuals.

The event was attended by the Cuban Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, as well as ambassadors from Venezuela and Nicaragua, and members of the Cuban community in Belgium. The presentation is part of a broader program organized by the Cuban diplomatic mission to promote understanding of Castro's political thought and historical role.
