Fidelity International and iShares launch new ETF products

Fidelity International has launched a new range of Equity Enhanced Yield UCITS ETFs, starting with global and US equity options. These funds utilize actively managed equity portfolios combined with a systematic options strategy that sells index call options to generate additional income. The funds were listed on Germany’s Xetra, Italy’s Borsa Italiana, and the London Stock Exchange in early October. Each ETF is supported by $5 million in seed capital from Susquehanna.

In the healthcare sector, iShares offers two distinct exchange-traded funds: the iShares U.S. Healthcare ETF (IYH) and the iShares Global Healthcare ETF (IXJ). While IYH has recently delivered stronger total returns, IXJ provides a higher dividend yield of 1.4% compared to IYH’s 1.1%. The global fund offers broader international diversification, whereas the U.S. fund focuses on domestic market leaders.
